India Bharat Stage IV & V Non-road Emission Standards, International Council on Clean Transportation

Bharat stage emission standards (BSES) are emission standards instituted by the Government of India to regulate the output of air pollutants from internal combustion engines and Spark-ignition engines equipment, including motor vehicles. BS VI can bring PM in diesel cars down by 80% . The new norms will bring down nitrogen oxides from diesel cars by 70% and in petrol cars by 25%. This is the first time India has adopted one set of consistent standards regulating both agricultural and construction equipment.
